Welcome to The Flag

WE'RE CURRENTLY CLOSED FOR A REMODEL AND WILL BE REOPENING FROM THE 31ST OF JANUARY 2019.

You’ll always find the warmest of welcomes at The Flag in Watford. It’s the perfect place to enjoy a few drinks, as well as tuck into great value pub food all day everyday — we even have our own beer garden for you to relax with friends. The Flag hosts a variety of sporting events and live music, as well as a pub quiz every Monday night. We’re passionate about creating memorable moments, so, let the good times flow as freely as the drinks. Whether you’re after a spot of breakfast, lunch or dinner, or even drinks with pals… don’t worry, we’ve got you sorted!

If you’re looking for a pub with the best sports coverage across Sky Sports & BT Sport, and a local where our live music can lift your spirits, join us at The Flag.

Our pub was formerly the Clarendon Hotel, dating back to 1860. During the Edwardian era the proprietor was called Captain H. Brydges, and over the years the building has had several name changes, including the Pennant, the Flag and Firkin. For some time the beer garden was used as a bus terminus for Watford Junction station.

You can easily find us on Station Road, just on the corner of Bridle Path. Close by is West Herts College, with Watford Junction train station only a 1 minute walk away. Near you there are a few attractions, such as the Harry Potter studio tour, Intu Watford shopping centre, Cassiobury Park, and Watford Market.
